My name is Alberto Alfailasof and I am a Turkish immigrant who has been living in the UK since 1962. I have seen a lot of changes in the way immigrants are percieved in this great country. Here I discuss the issue of immigration in great depth, and call upon my own experiences. The reason I set up this site is because the immigration debate and discussion in the UK is rarely talked about through the eyes of actual immigrants.

Although I have lived here for several decades, can speak fluent english and work in the UK, I still considered myself to be an immigrant. I am pround of my Turkish background and heritage. However I am equally proud to live and work in the UK.
